Lawn mowing quote calculator
Price a mow from your own speed and costs, so every quote covers your time, your truck and your profit.
How the math works
- Time on site = (area ÷ 1,000 × your minutes per 1,000 sq ft) + extra minutes. Billed time adds the drive.
- Cost = billed hours × (crew size × labor rate + overhead per crew hour).
- Price = cost ÷ (1 − margin). A 30% margin means 30% of the price is profit, which is a bigger number than a 30% markup on cost.
- If that's below your minimum charge, the minimum applies.
The starting values are placeholders to show how the calculator works, not market rates. Replace every one with your own numbers: time a few of your own mows to get your minutes per 1,000 sq ft.
